In-Home Aged & Disability Care Concierge Service
Our Goal
Whether a senior or a person living with a disability, our goal is to help you enjoy independence for as long as possible. We do so by putting in place in-home care solutions and support services that meet your needs and wants.
With its many service providers, offerings and government subsidies, the care sector is complex. Decision-making around arranging in-home care can be daunting, particularly as your care needs grow. Yet it is important to have care in place early on so that you can retain your independence for as long as possible. It is not wise to leave it to your point of collapse as care in a residential facility may then be your only option.
We're here to help simplify the process, help you make decisions, and arrange in-home care that suits you.
Our Process
We provide a transparent, impartial, professional and compassionate service to our clients.
Having assisted clients for more than three and a half decades, we have created a useful process for decision making. It’s called the "5 Easy Steps 4 Care©". These are the steps we take to help you put in place the right care solutions for you and your family.
For thoroughness, we liaise with your “support team”, be they your family, friend, guardian, power of attorney, financial planner, accountant, lawyer, estate planner, GP or social worker, to ensure all your needs are met.
Our five-step process involves:
-
Establishing your needs: We sit with you to discuss your needs and wants, including where you wish to age, be it at home, a smaller residence, a retirement community or residential aged care. We include your support team in the discussion and if there are any differences of opinion, we are here to help resolve them.
-
In-Home Assessment: If your preference is in-home care, we then need to make sure your home offers the highest level of safety and comfort for you and your carers. This involves evaluating the safety of your home with a guardian or family member present.
-
Developing a Life PlanTM: Having established your needs and wants, and evaluated your home, we will provide you with a comprehensive Life PlanTM. The plan details our recommendations for in-home care and support, and potential home modifications to keep you and your carers safe. It will also include helpful resources such as useful household equipment for your circumstances.
-
Selecting the appropriate care provider: We will recommend up to three quality in-home care providers based on your needs and wants.
Drawn from the DR Care Solutions Care Provider Network, these in-home care providers have been vetted by us. They are quality care providers and we have worked with most since the beginning of DR Care Solutions.
Once you have made your choice, we introduce the carer providers briefing them on their role in ensuring your needs and wants are met in accordance with your Life PlanTM.
-
Follow-up and Reviews: Our service does not end with the engagement of the care provider. We remain in contact to monitor that your needs are being met and your support team are happy with the care arrangements. Should your level of care need to be increased, we are here to help with arranging higher levels of in-home care (including more Government funding) or to discuss other solutions.
Independent Living at 95 Years of Age
Having lived independently all her life in a large home, Lucille was keen to return home and to her previous life as quickly as possible after an ankle surgery. However, she was unable to put weight on it and too frail to use crutches, and family became aware that she was already having difficulty preparing nutritious meals for herself and maintaining her home.
Independent Living With a Disability
A keen sportsman and family man, Will's life changed when a skiing accident caused brain injury that triggered a stroke. He was given 35 hours of care per week. Ten years later, the deterioration of Will's condition meant he needed an even higher level of care. With bad experiences while in respite care, Will was sure of one thing: he wanted to be cared for at home.
Inadequate In-Home Care Services
The family were concerned their legally blind 93 year old mother was not receiving adequate care from her HomeCare provider. On investigation, Ruth's HomeCare provider had subcontracted her services to seven different care providers and none were across her holistic care plan. The carousel of different carers left Ruth feeling more vulnerable and confused.
Testimonials
See what our clients are saying.

"I was significantly injured after being hit by a car. I needed support to keep my home running smoothly and my insurer agreed for me to have some domestic assistances.
A friend recommended that I reach out to Danielle from DR Care Solutions. Danielle sprang into action and organised a fabulous provider to assist me for several months. Their service made a big difference for my recovery; extremely helpful to have those extra hands when needed the most. The cleaning service was very reliable and professional and managed the heavier tasks I was unable to.
Thank you again for your help and support. I would highly recommend your service to anyone in need."

"I am so glad, Danielle, that you suggested the change of care provider for my brother and sister-in-law.
Together, you and the new Case Manager have made it possible for my brother to return home from care and remain at home as per his wishes, and are making their life so much more comfortable.
We appreciate the efforts you went to quickly and efficiently, particularly give that there was the additional challenge of my brother and his wife being congenitally deaf and both have significant health issues.
Things seemed to have settled and we have obtained the great outcome that we all wished for.
Thank you again."
- M Frater

"My parents, both in their mid-80s, have lived in their home for 60 years. Both carry chronic health issues but did not want to leave their home if they could possibly stay there.
Mum’s surgeon would not release her from hospital unless she had a reduced workload and at-home nursing care. I tried helping my parents navigate the complex area of home care and aged care services.
I was baffled by the number of services to choose from, but Danielle knew which services to recommend and helped us to come to where we are now with both Mum and Dad at home receiving weekly carer support, and gardening services from a home care services team who listen to my parents’ wants and desires. We are very happy with the result."
